November 9th, 2007 Learn to Skate Clinic-Fun League Malden Youth Hockey/East Boston Youth Hockey – a joint city youth hockey program is holding registration for its Winter 2007-2008 Hockey Clinic Program for girls/boys ages 4 and over.
REGISTRATION
October 16th from 6:00pm – 7:00 pm at the Porazzo Rink, Constitution Beach, East Boston
October 17th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Malden Valley Forum II Rink, Holden Street, Malden
DETAILS/COST
· Clinic will be held, in two 10-week sessions, twice a week on Saturdays at 5:00 pm at the Everett Rink and on Sundays at 11:00 am at the East Boston Rink
· Session 1: October 27th through December 30th: $150.00
· Session 2: January 5th through March 9th $150.00
· Session 1&2 $275.00 (if you register for both)
Payment is required at registration along with a copy of child’s birth certificate (for new skaters only).
This fee also includes a free hockey jersey!!!
The Hockey Clinic is a basic learn to skate, learn to play hockey program, for both boys and girls, with two one-hour practices a week. There are three levels taught; learn-to-skate, basic skills, and advanced skills. In addition, skaters at the basic and advanced level can sign up for the Fun League, which includes an additional practice and a game of buzzer hockey once a week.
Hockey Clinic Required Equipment:
Learn-To-Skate level – Helmet, skates, shin guards, gloves, elbow protectors, (no sticks)
Basic and Advanced level – Helmet, neck guard, chest protector, elbow protectors, skates,
shin guards, socks, stick, (boys athletic protector)

October 15th, 2007 Figure Skating SIGN UPS FOR SKATING LESSONS
CLASS BEGINS ON SUN., OCT 28TH @ THE FLYNN DCR RINK
What does Nancy Kerrigan, Michelle Kwan, and Sasha Cohen all have in common? They all started their skating careers at their local learn to skate programs. All Olympic skating dreams begin with a successful USFSA Learn to Skate Program...........and Malden/East Boston has such a program! Malden/East Boston Youth Hockey are offering a USFSA Basic Badge Program taught by EDGEWORKS Professional Instructors. The program consists of 9 weeks of instruction including one session of badge testing. The cost is $100.00. Lessons are held on Sun. afternoons between 2:00 - 2:50 p.m. at the Flynn DCR rink located in Medford. Included in the cost is a 25 minute lesson, 25 minute practice, USFSA test book, badges and Insurance. Session 1 begins on Sun., Oct. 28th at the Flynn Rink. Registration will begin @ 1:30 p.m. on the 28th.
