Figure Skating Lesson

SIGN-UP FOR SKATING LESSONS
CLASSES BEGIN Oct. 19th , FOR CHILDREN 4 YRS & UP
Malden Youth Hockey is offering a “U.S.F.S.A” Basic Badge Program taught by “EDGEWORKS” Professional Instructors. The program consists of 10 weeks of lessons. The cost is $110.00. Lessons are held on Sunday afternoons between 2:00 – 3:50 p.m. at the Flynn DCR Rink in Medford. Included in the cost: a 25 minute lesson and a 25 minute practice, U.S.F.S.A insurance, test book and badges. 10/19 – 12/21

Badge Levels:
2:00 – 2:50 p.m. All Snowplow badges, Basic 1 and NEW BEGINNERS
3:00 – 3:50 p.m. Basic 2 through Free Skate 6 levels

All new skaters and young skaters need to have a basic helmet. You may find these at any sporting goods store. Also, skates must be single blades figure or hockey skates are fine, no plastic boots or double runners. Skates are not available to rent. Dress your child in something comfortable that they can move easily in. Mittens are a must for beginners.

We will be limiting the number of skaters on the ice so we will take skaters on a first come, first serve basis. Non-residents welcome. Mail your application today with a check for $110.00 made payable to Malden Youth Hockey to assure a spot in this popular skating program

Learn to Skate/Learn to Play Program

Malden/East Boston Youth Hockey – a joint city youth hockey program - is holding registration for its Winter 2008-2009 Hockey Clinic Program for girls/boys ages 4 and over.

REGISTRATION
October 1, 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the Porrazzo Rink, Constitution Beach, East Boston
October 2, 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Everett Rink, Elm St, Everett

DETAILS/COST

The Hockey Clinic is a basic learn to skate, learn to play hockey program, for both boys and girls, with two one-hour practices a week. There are three levels taught; learn-to-skate, basic skills, and advanced skills.

Clinic
The Clinic is held, in two 10-week sessions, twice a week on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Everett Rink and Sundays at 11:00 a.m at the East Boston Rink

· Session 1: …… October 18 through December 21…………. $150.00
· Session 2:……. January 3 through March 8th……………….. $150.00
· Session 1&2….. $280.00 (if you register for both)

Funleague
In addition to the clinic, skaters at the basic and advanced level can sign up for our Fun League program which includes an additional practice and a game of buzzer hockey once a week at an additional $230.00.

Payment is required at registration along with a copy of child’s birth certificate (for new skaters only).
This fee also includes a free hockey jersey!!!
Hockey Clinic Required Equipment:
Learn-To-Skate level – Helmet, skates, shin guards, gloves, elbow protectors, (no sticks)
Basic and Advanced level – Helmet, neck guard, chest protector, elbow protectors, skates, shin guards, socks, stick, (boys athletic protector).
